Our Programs

Home Our Programs
Kid R Fun is aware that each child’s needs are unique. Children are provided with a safe, loving, and healthy environment that promotes developmental needs for each child. Our programs are designed to provide activities that contribute to developing physical, social, intellectual, creative, and emotional needs for each child. Kids R Fun will accomplish this by providing open-ended activities where children are encouraged to discover, explore, and to manipulate objects while solving their problems. We embrace different developmental levels, multiculturalism, abilities, and needs of each child.

Infant 12 months to 19 months

This is a very vital age where children need considerable attention and care. They need a caring and loving environment that should enable them to grow strong both physically and mentally. To provide children with this environment our focus is to: Nurture the children in a healthy, loving, and caring environment that will foster balanced growth.
Provide children with age-appropriate toys that will develop their intellectual and emotional skills.
Allow more play and activity time (physical activity) to help them grow strong.
Allow more outdoor activity which will help children to get more interaction with the public and society which will provide a sound basis to develop social and physical skills.
Our infants are supervised within a thorough regimen of body care, feeding, resting, and sleeping. The development of their social skills is learned through an assortment of playful learning experiences. The children can explore creativity and imagination through play both indoors and outdoors. Infants have a separate outdoor playground with age-appropriate toys.
We also have strollers for their community walks and field trips.

Our program is perfect for active toddlers. We offer age-appropriate activities to let curious toddlers explore while building skills and coordination. The purpose of this program is to help children have a healthy and smooth transition from home to a daycare setting. In the toddler room, the children are given the opportunity to explore and learn in a safe and stimulating environment. The furniture is age-appropriate, which motivates each child to learn independently; and to promote self-help skills such as eating. Each child has his / her sleeping cot as daily sleep/rest time is required. The staff members provide guidance and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toileting skills. Weekly activities are planned to meet the interests of each child and to encourage exploration, learning, and independence. As communication becomes more important, children are stimulated to develop language skills through songs, stories, and games. This helps to expand their vocabulary and expressive language. Circle time is always interactive to encourage each child’s participation. Sensory explorations through sand, water play, and many other natural materials are provided in the daily programs. Age-appropriate, educational toys for toddlers are to initiate various concepts such as colors, shapes, numbers, and size. Both outdoor and indoor activities are provided.

At kids r fun out of school care (oosc) we aim to create a program where the individual needs of all our children can be met through a wide variety of creative, educational, and recreational activities. In recognizing each child as an individual, we attempt to offer as wide a range of activities as possible, so their developmental needs can be met daily. Through these choices, we hope to enhance the physical, social, intellectual, creative, and emotional wellbeing of our children in a safe and secure environment where they feel they have the room to grow and flourish. Each day we offer options based around both active and passive activities, with choices being centered on indoor Gym time, outside activities, craft and creative activities, and a general games/play area. A quiet area for homework and reading is also provided. In giving our children these choices, we aim to encourage them to make decisions for themselves thus helping build self-esteem. communication is also an important part of the OOSC program. In giving the children time to talk and listen we hope they will learn to respect the views of others while feeling free to express opinions of their own. Social interaction is an important life skill and we feel it our duty to help each child develop social skills such as patience, cooperation, respect for self and others, acceptance of other’s views, and how to build positive human relationships. Our curriculum based on Project-based learning with loose parts Project-based learning connects students to the real world. PBL prepares students to accept and meet challenges in the real world, mirroring what professionals do every day. Focuses the student on a big open-ended question, challenge, or problem to research and respond to and/or solve. Brings what students should academically know, understand, and be able to do into the equation.
